    Retreat to a secluded getaway vacation farm rental house in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Enjoy waking up to the rosters crow and the cows low. Forget about the smoke and the smog, breath deeply of the fresh air that flows down the side of the famous Peaks of Otter in Virginia. Hike through the hills on the trails that have been used for many centuries BY both man and beast. Watch a baby sheep or calf look for momma. Return to that time that was a little bit slower and colors brighter. Visit for a week and remember for a lifetime. ELMO'S REST --It does it all, Spring, Winter, Summer and Fall. When you visit, you not only carry some of Elmo’s back with you but, part of your Heart remains in these beautiful valleys and mountains with us. Join us in memories.

    The rambling 19th-Century farmhouse is furnished as if someone stepped out in the 1930's or 40's, yet it has all the modern conveniences of home. The farmhouse is completely furnished to accommodate groups, families, and couples.The home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 14 guests. Three of the bedrooms each have 2 double beds, one bedroom has 2 bunk beds (4 beds), and another bedroom has a single bed and a twin baby bed. The house also has a living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of porches for sitting. The fully-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. The home also has a washer/dryer, phone, TV, central air and a VCR. Linens and towels are provided.

    The property has a children's playhouse, barbecue grill, horseshoes, and a seasonal farm store. It also has creeks for wading, and ponds for fishing. There is an on farm winery also on the farm.

    Weekly $500.00 Base price plus $50.00 for each person or pet.

    Winter week-end getaway, $250.00 Base plus $25.00 for each person or pet.

    Reservations; $250. Non refundable deposit required. One half due 30 days prior to arrival and the rest due upon arrival plus taxes.

    Our week runs from 3:30 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. Monday.

    Week-ends run from Friday 3:30 p.m. until 9 a.m. Monday, November thru April, except holidays and other times not rented for the week.
